What you’ll be doing:

As our Community Engagement & Fundraising Officer, you will promote our organisation and the amazing work we do for the elderly and vulnerable in our community. You will provide support to our senior team to establish a new five-year strategy across the organisation. Buzzing around Harrogate, you will represent Harrogate Neighbours and lead fundraising, bid-writing, and community engagement. A typical day in the life of a Community Engagement & Fundraising Officer includes raising awareness of the organisation, engaging with local businesses, organisations, institutions, and individuals to build our community, organising and partaking in activities that promote our clients’ mental, physical, and nutritional wellbeing, and working with our marketing team to plan and build strategies to effectively increase awareness and engagement online and in the media.

What we need you to bring to our community:

You will need to have oodles of energy, reliability, and confidence for this role. Using your own initiative and passion are absolute musts! You will have a proven track record in achieving fundraising targets and securing donations from a diverse range of sources. Having a driving license is essential as you will be buzzing between working from home, the office, and in the community.
