We have been providing high-quality care to the elderly people of Harrogate since the late 1960s and we are proud of everything we have achieved so far. To continue to make a difference we recognise that there is a need to adapt and grow.
With our Food Angels service becoming increasingly popular and a higher demand for round-the-clock dementia care, we need to expand.
Over the last few years, we have been working with the local and county councils and have acquired a derelict site in Starbeck. Our plan is to regenerate this site, which we have called The Cuttings. This will be replacing Greenfield Court.
The Cuttings has 55 apartments. These will be a mixture of one- & two-bedroom apartments and studio flats. Each apartment will be fully equipped and offer complete security and privacy.
Tenants will have access to an onsite team who will provide care 24 hours a day. The team will be able to cater for individual needs including providing specialist care for those living with dementia.
There will also be a community hub and a commercial kitchen to accommodate the growing demand on our hot food delivery service, in which we are able to deliver up to 1000 meals a week!
Although we have managed to secure funding to regenerate the site there is still a long way to go. We will be selling our Greenfield Court property to raise further capital, but we will also be increasing our fundraising efforts and looking to the local community for support.
